Cynthia, Welcome to Active Rain. I hope you will check in every day and keep up with us Rainers. At 2:00 today, my husband and I will be heading over to pick up my three grandsons, ages 3, 3 and 5. They will go with us to buy our Christmas tree, a new family tradition. Then they'll spend the night at Jamma's house and go with us to church tomorrow. How old is your grandson? I hope you have a wonderful trip. Merry Christmas.

welcome to active rain, keep the excitement level up. You can shoot up the ladder really quick and as long as there isn't a huge change you internet presence will refect shortly

My suggestion is make a traveling blog out of it and day to day take notes of places to stop along the way, take lots of pictures and have fun with it!
Glad to have you aboard and be grateful you are taking the trip now, because in a year your addiction to Activerain makes it sometimes hard to want to leave even for a day or two.

OK, you're on to me. I've never blogged before. It is getting easier and really fun.
Last night we went to the first anual Christmas dinner at our church and the primary kids did the Nativity play. It was AWSOME watching them get up and do thir parts. Some, as young as 4, sang on the microphone. the costumes were beautiful, angels, shepherds, Mary, Joseph, etc. the courage it takes for them to get up in front of all those people brought tears to my eyes.
