I picked my daughter Megan up from a school dance last night. She had a great time. It was a lot of fun even thought the music was loud.(I thought kids liked loud music, it drowns out the annoying parent voices in their heads!)But she said she wanted to tell me a story about a girl that she was talking to at the dance,I braced myself for a scary story.
Megan said when she went in to use the restroom there was a girl sitting on the floor looking very dejected. She ask if something was wrong and the girl responded with a mopey, no. Meg could not help herself and said, I can tell something is bothering you, or you would not be just sitting on the floor while everyone else is having a good time out there.
The girl responded with a boyfrind story, and how he had broke up with her, and was now dancing with the other girls to make her jealous. It worked.
Megan then said...why would you pay $5.00 to come to the dance, just to sit on the bathroom floor, and feel sorry for yourself. Get up and lets go dance.
It worked. The two girls had a great time and forgot all about the boy. Which brings me to the reason I am writing this post. Sometimes no matter how you feel, you just need to get up and dance. You worked hard for your license, you have maintained a lot of clock hours, called a lot of people, worked some incredible hours, and pulled off some fantastic negotiations. You put a lot of effort out there. Don't stop and feel bad about any lack of business this year. GET UP AND DANCE! You will be glad that you did.
