Sweet right by my house. I live on Lake Eola. I will be there with a mega phone. Will I see you there as well?

ABSOLUTELY...  I think that DPA made a huge difference in my business - There are so many families out there that need help...  It's one person, helping another and WE DESERVE IT!

Cool!  Was waiting for something like this.  Emailing people in charge is one thing; showing up in support of DPA in Downtown Orlando is another thing entirely.  :)

I don't have a problem with the concept but at least don't call it a "CHARITABLE DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE".  It's not charitable and it's not down payment assistance...it is (or was) a legal way to allow the buyer to roll down payments into a loan.  Yes they help the market, but they also help these companies (like Ameridream and others) make MILLIONS of dollars under the guise of "NON-PROFIT".

DPA is fine, but it NEEDS to be reworked because in it's current form, it not a great program!

Debbie I hope you are able to get the bill passed. These type of programs are what will get our markets the boost they need.

If the government wants to get things rolling again, they would reinstitute the DPA programs. I understand they are riskier loans, but there are risk-mitigators they can put in place; higher credit scores, maybe even a higher mortgage premium. But all anyone has to do is look at the surge in sale this past September (right before this method of financing was pulled out from under everyone) to see how big the need is! Wish I could attend to voice my opinion!

I agree with this somewhat, but we have to be very careful with these types of loan scenarios. Here in NC a buyer can get a FHA Loan for a minimum of 3% down. If a buyer cannot come up with at least that, they may not need to be buying a home. This is just my opinion. Thanks for sharing this info.

This is the only TRUE Stimulus Package beneficial to Main Street and NOT Wall Street as ALL of the others have been. DPA will help stablaize the housing market, create more jobs in both the new construction and resale arenas, and actually add an income stream WITHOUT using any TAX PAYER MONIES.........GO DPA and all that are in support. Thank You.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket here folks, but no one is going to take this rally seriously if Nehemiah is not involved.  Some body needs to call them and beg for their participation.  No offense to AmeriDream, but Nehemiah beings credibility than AD just doesn't have.

Move To Lake MaryLisa - I hope that we see you there... That's where I will be!

Ron- Wow...  I don't think that companies like AmeriDream and other make millions of dollars, for the small processing fee they charge they really are helping families.  I do respect your opinion and have heard of abuses of the system, I think the new bill with higher credit score requirements is a step in the right direction.

Carolyn - Thanks for the feature... Club Chaos is an AWESOME group and I'm honored to be featured there!

LaShawn - I hope to see you there!

Bill - This is just a step in the right direction...  Down payment assistance helped me sell several listings over the summer and helped many buyers too!

Colleen - The New Bill requires a higher credit score for participants...  It is a real opportunity to get property moving.

Allen - The closing costs and down payment for FHA financing sometimes puts QUALIFIED buyers out of the market... With the increase in credit requirements, I really think this bill could make a difference.

Paul - Thank you!  I agree with you 100%...  GO DPA!

Phillip - This is a NON-PARTISAN event...  I'm sure the folks from AmeriDream would welcome their friends at Nehemiah to attend and shout from the roof tops that they support this bill too.  If you know someone there... PLEASE, do something to get them on the street.  We are all in this together!
