A Trick To Make Your Life Better

See The World GlassesWith it so easy to find negativity in just about any direction you turn nowadays what you need is

A TRICK TO MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER.

You need to adjust your See The World Glasses. I am convinced we feel the world based on how we see the world. Even in losing a job you can look at it as an opportunity to do something else.

PrismOften the world in reality is not as it truly seems. For example, did you know white light is made up of the rainbow of colors? A prism breaks this out for us to see. But on the surface white light just seems like white light. But looking at it differently we come to a different understanding.

So too with negativity. It can be teaching us some kind of life lesson. Particularly if the negative situation happens over and over again.

We need to look at a situation from a different perspective. Ask others that are more positive than you of what good can come out of this supposedly bad event. Not always easy I admit but two or more heads are better than one.

StepsThe key thing when trying on your new See The World Glasses is a failure is not a stopping point to wallow in your misery. It represents a new path for you.

New steps that can take you in a new direction. Failure is an outcome, not a complete defeat unless you see it that way.

When you get stuck, as we all do, look at life's situations from various angles, and choose the steps that allow you to learn from the event and move on.

Perspective is the key.

Gary,

It is all about perspective and attitude.  It is so easy to let life get you down but if you stop to really think about it...it is great!  Things could be much worse.

Thank you for the reminder,

Ann

Always step outside self and look in...or look out from inside first. Either way we take a different look at self...at others ...at every situation or circumstance and there is bound to be a brighter result :)

Hi Gary, I really like this idea of See the World glasses. Do you realize as a marketing idea it could be priceless. " See the World" glasses 19.95 a pair and if you order right now, we will double the order. I suppose a few million dollars later the value as a reminder would still exist. Half of the problem is solved if people would just believe. And the added little appliance of the glasses would be the moment by moment reminder we all need to keep that perspective.

Hi Gary-As always you have the greatest pics. Negativity can keep you prisoner for life if you let it, but our attitude truly determines our altitude. I think the key is to surround yourself with people who have strengths where you have weaknesses and each one of us can become stronger when we do that. We each have our own gifts and what were good at. If we do that it will be amazing how our perspective will change,

Hi Gary:

Great point, we should all learn to look at situations differently.

HI Gary:  Yes, so much negativity, actually too much!  I just saw a commercial advertising a name brand store and in their ad, they mention the crumbling economy and how it's a good time to get great deals.  What stuck in my mind was the crumbling economy, not the great deals.  As for me, it worked opposite of what I'm sure the ad meant to do.  Being reminded that the economy is crumbling isn't a big motivator for me to go out and spend.  Seems they could have presented their great deals in a more positive light.

Gary ~ You are so right about perspective.  I like the idea of asking someone else to look at the situation too.  Sometimes when something happens we become so focused on that one thing we don't look outside of it.

Damn Gary...you are good. You are zen in your approach to life and business and I do not mean that in the popular sense, but in the Mayahana Buddhist sense. Very impressive without any pretense.

It is great following you!

Gary, this is excellent! It goes back to the silver lining and the fact that if one door closes another opens. This is a great perspective and a wonderful way to look at things. We all need to remember our blessings through this tough time. Great post!

Love the stepping stones!  Tip toeing tentatively sometimes, and skipping confidently other times........and occasionally slipping and getting your feet wet........but ultimatelyyou do reach the other side..........faster if you know where you're going........:-)

Gary, Having support is one of the most important things in life.  A few good shoulders and you can end up laughing about almost anything.  I think I was born with rose colored glasses--and while I can see perspectives I don't want to lose them :)  Wonderful post and lots of insights.

Gary,

My glass is always half full, maybe 3/4.  I've been fortunate to have a good year in real estate and I think it's all related to my passion and positive attitude.

I always appreciate your inspirational posts, beautiful quotes, and upbeat attitude.  It truly keeps me focused on the positive.
