I ran out into my living room telling my husband I was going to be in the real estate biggest loser competition...he looked around the room like we were in public...shushed me and asked me....

"Why would you say that?"

I had to laugh...no I'm not striving to be a loser..well in reality yes I am but not a real estate loser....but

A loser of 35 pounds

You can read about it on Jay Thompsons blog and Craig Barrett's post.

It's amazing how things happen...and a few of us..are putting it out there for the world to witness...

Thanks Jay and Craig..and all the other participants..you'll see I'll be talking smack before long!

It might be a competition but I feel unity..and empowerment! ...and I have to send a shout out to the special ladies..who knows by the end of this competition we can call ourselves..The Sisterhood of the Baggy Pants!!!!

Good luck! Losing weight is one thing that I need to do too. Even just 10 pounds would be good. I love food!

Count me in for at least 10 knotts below my previous goal of 25!!!   Yeah, am with you Babe for being the big losers of 2009!!!  Hmmmmmmmmm am looking on delicious apple pie from Julian Mountain, the best pie in the world... and am tempted.... really tempted and had a little bite without a scoop of vanilla ice cream... hmmmmmmm ~ you will make it!!!!   For the records, am now 128 lbs, so, 10 more to go to my road to being healthier and sexier (of course... that's the main goal to be able to wear my size 6 jeans)...:=)  ~ brisk walking combined with little portions of food intake does it for me.  I have 6 months more to go to maintain my desired weight...

Did I mention to you that we used to have a mobile home park in Florida, got hit badly by Hur Ivan?  Luckily, we sold it on time just before the market got sour!  Still have 3 income properties and we are trying to sell one of them.  Been in Daytona one, liked it cause it's nice but props are very pricey.  How's the market there?

Good luck on your road to loser land and share your experiences.  Just warning your honey, sometimes I do get cranky from withdrawal from caffein, sweets and carbs... only in my first few weeks.   Take care... cheers to women who knows how to take good care of thyself!!!

Happy Holidays (without the fruitcakes)!!!

Myrna Reyes

Midori ~ I'm looking forward to a great competition with you!  The contest is such a terrific idea and so many wonderful people are involved, it will be a success. Now I'm off to jog for 25 miles before breakfast.

Midori, good luck in this competition.  Remember -- regular exercise and frequent but smaller meals -- preferably six meals a day.   Recently, I've started drinking just tea at every meal rather than juice, soda, or other beverages, and it works wonders.

That's a nice goal!!! I sometimes take diet pills like Slim Quick and the really work. I only take one in the morning and it helps curb my appetite for the rest of the day. then I have more willpower to eat what I need to eat and not out of stress or anything else. It helps me lose that extra 5 lbs sometimes.

I just read that stress is one of the top recursers for obesity.  Well if you're a REALTOR and you're not stressed, I'd like to talk to you.  I've been more stressed this year than I can remember and I've gained back almost all of the 30 pounds I had lost.  Thanks for the encouragement.  I'll be watching you and hoping to be a BIG LOSER too.
