Saturday afternoon.  Nothing spectacular.  Kind of gray out - waiting for rain.

Aha!  There's the mailman!  Maybe something besides bills in the mail today.

And there was.

And it made me cry.

Tears of joy and pride.

You see, in the three envelopes that were in the box, there was a very special one ...

No return address, somewhat unfamiliar handwriting on the front.

I opened the envelope and removed an invitation.

Not just ANY invitation either!

This was an invitation, with a handwritten note affixed,

to the RE/MAX Christmas Party

that will be held in my old hometown of Toledo, Ohio.

The handwritten note was from my previous broker, and good friend, John Mangas.

It simply said ... If you're in Ohio please stop by!

Knowing that we still have properties up there, I'm sure John was thinking that

we may have to take a trip over the Christmas holiday. 

But, alas, we won't be traveling this season.

When I left RE/MAX to move to North Carolina I did it in a professional manner,

wiith sufficient notice,

and with immense respect for my brokers - John Mangas and Kathy Kuyoth.

These two had never been anything but good to me.

And I appreciated that more than they will ever know.

These two are very special people - and filled with professionalism while being as

down to earth as you could ever hope for.

I am so very pleased that they thought enough of me to leave the door open.

It's always heartwarming to know that I made a positive impression on someone else.

So, in the spirit of the season, even though I can't be there...
