I have many more posts about things to do in New Smyrna Beach, but they're each about things to do at a specific time, and those times have past. Now although New Smyrna Beach is a beautiful city with the most unique, quaint little beach shops, and the downtown area has remained appealing without needing major overhauls like you find in many other cities. So, for the 3rd quarter of 2008, there were 382 new listings entered into the New Smyrna Beach area Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for that city. Some of these listings were actually houses or condos that had not sold, and when their previous listing agreements had expired, they were re-entered into the MLS as new listings. So although there were 382 houses and condos entered into the New Smyrna Beach Area MLS in the 3rd quarter, not all of them were new listings.

For the same time period of 2008, there were 10 real estate closings in New Smyrna Beach.

I know this is alarming. Of all the cities in East Volusia County, New Smyrna has taken the biggest hit this quarter.
