The button that's costing YOU money EVERY DAY!

In our new world, with this day & age, there are so many gadgets you and electrictronic devices you deal with, so many switches we flip, and buttons we push. One DEEPLY overlooked button that most of us probably push every day, while half conscious, is costing us TONS of money!  (I'm not talking about the Jukebox at the bar during happy hour either! Not that type of half conscious!)

When the markets were hot, everyone was up at 5am so we could be ready for that first showing 10 miles away, or to be able to call that client for their application for a loan because we know they go to work at 7am and that's what we had to do to earn that client. NOW, most people I know, if they are still even in the industry, complain about the market being slow, there are not enough customers, what do I need to start doing to make money.... and so on and so on, excuse after EXCUSE.

But, little do they realize, these conversations all take place at 11am, noon, etc for a reason. Instead of getting up at those early hours to be PRODUCTIVE, they are sleeping in out of market depression until 9, 10, sometimes later EVERY DAY! STOP hitting that SNOOZE BUTTON on your alarm and get up! It's true what they say, the early bird gets the worm! Even if you have no clients right now, you can get up and brainstorm of new ways to market yourself and to be successful.

Even in this "slow" market (which is just an illusion for most of you that are living month to month right now), there are people killing it in every section of our industry. I know realtors that are closing 25+ real estate deals a month right now and WILL NOT take on any new clients! I know appraisers who are booked throughout the day and I know loan officers that still can afford to get a haircut every week instead of every month!!

Maybe the commissions are smaller now, but they are still out there, the market has not "crashed" or "slowed down", it has just NORMALIZED! Yes, prices are low and equity has been lost, but all of the happenings from the past several years was just super-extended inflation in the market anyway!

Do what it takes to be successful and that starts with GETTING UP EARLY! There are tons of things you can do, be it bandit signs, local newspaper advertising, holding free seminars, doing radio interviews; what have you... there are TONS of ways to make money right now, regardless of your position. The only catch is, you have to PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE... Quit dreaming about clients and go out and find them. Replace ZzzzZZzzzzZZZz with $$$$$$$$$$$.
