Christmas Parade in The Colony, TX.

Saturday December 6th there was a Christmas Parade in The Colony, TX. I personally could not attend but I heard it was the best one yet. A lot effort goes into these events and the community involvement is treasured.

I am happy to announce the 'Friends of The Colony Dog Park' float won first place in the 'most creative' category. We were not able to procure a trailer so we used what we had. (We are a non-profit organization). The message came across loud and clear, however. Four large dogs were in the back and 'How much is that doggie in the window' blared out of the speakers.

Mel - congrats on your group winning the most creative. Keep it up both in your business and in your dog group.

I don't know that last time I went to a parade, but I've got to go to one this year. All the posts about them are starting to make me miss them. Congrats to your group.

Mel - It certainly looks like a lot of creativity and ingenuity went into creating your float on a budget. Nice job and congrats on the win.

I just don't know how you can have Christmnas without the white fluffy stuff. Besides...Reindeer get sick when they get to warm!

I love that song! My husband sang it to me over and over back in 1987 - until I bought him the doggie in the window!

Man...what year is that car? Looks like an old relic from the 70's...well that looks like fun...we don't have any parades close by so I'll sit this one out...maybe I'll head to our big boat parade.

Yu should come to Austin...You would fit in quite well and that car could be in the annual SOCO weird car parade (moderate category)! Have a great weekend!
