We are always looking at ways to better our company. We have been associated with GMAC Real Estate for years. We think they have great tools that help us compete. Coldwell Banker has been talking with us lately. We have been getting mixed views on the support & tools that CB has.

What are the opinions of the agents in the field? What do you like best about Coldwell Banker? Do you feel they give you the added support that helps your local broker?

I look forward to your opinions

Hi Tom, I really enjoy being affiliated with Coldwell Banker.  I get total support from my broker and the training is the best I've ever seen.  But I am of the opinion that it doesn't matter which "big guy" you are associated with.....you MUST have a great broker.  IMHO

Ditto for what Peggy said.  Broker makes a huge difference in addition to a large corporate hat is good fit for me.  I came from the Bell System(PacBell, SBC, now ATT), even tho there may be too many guidelines and expectations for some people, I find I am always on top of what is new and CAR/NAR changes that impact how we do business.

Tom...The company I formerly worked for, DeWolfe New England, was bought by Coldwell Banker (Hunneman) about 5 years ago.  At first it was a little unnerving as we had been major rivals in the Boston area for years.  But a funny and wonderful thing happened...The newly formed Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage incorporated the best features of the two companies.  For instance...they had better marketing (particularly for the high end: PREVIEWS), but DeWolfe had a superior mortgage company, etc.  Since the merger, Coldwell Banker has consitently been the leader in technology, providing such thinga as full streaming video, LeadRouter, the number 1 New England website (NewEnglandMoves.com), OpenHouse.com and on and on.  I am very pleased with the support offered by this great company.

Regards...Jay

I have been very satisfied with the support and services offered by my CB office.  Several times my team and myself personally have been recruited by other local companies with very enticing offers on splits, amenities, etc., - at least seemingly enticing.  But when my team and I have sat down after doing our research and compared the services and marketing that CB offers with that of what we've been offered by the others, we've realized we'd be losing out in the long run.  The amount of marketing and downloads alone that I have available to me through the CBnet site alone is priceless, and coupled with the forward thinking of our brokers, I would be nuts to want to move elsewhere.

Hi Tom,
I love Coldwell Banker here in Middletown,NJ. I started in 1985 with Schlott Realtors and Coldwell Banker bought him out along with 5 +other companies in the area. They are on top of everything from marketing, internet, lead router(awesome) openhouse.com,Coldwellbankermoves.com, Realtor.com, Previews, Coldwell Banker Mortgage and great offices for the most part. Of course if you don't have a good broker it' s all not worth a thing. Mine is up to date with everything and is on top of every situation that the agents bring to his attention. We have a great bunch of agents working together, not against each other. Always there to lend a helping hand if the need arises. I see and hear so much when out and about and I wouldn't move for any reason.

Hi Tom,

I came into the business in August of last year. I decided to affiliate myself with a GMACRE office here in the Seattle area. I received very little help. As a new agent, I had many questions. What I got when I asked for help was mostly, "here, read this." After suffering through a couple of months of being depressed with my situation, I decided to look around at other brokerages. I have to say that moving myself over to Coldwell Banker (Bain Associates) was the best move I could have ever made.

I spent 2 hours with the recruiter and after our meeting, I decided that I should meet with the broker. THe recruiter and the broker both emphasized training. What I needed most! Short version of the story:

CB has delivered on what they promised. Training; On a National level, at the affiliate level, as well as at my local office. Support...what can I say? Whenever I have any question all I do is ask. There isn't one person in my office that has refused to answer a question or make suggestions.

My 2¢ worth is to consider Coldwell Banker!
