Ok, even though I didn't get too many responses to my "duplicate blog posts" post, I think I've come to grips with my problem. Notice that is "problem" with small letters. I'll never come to grips with my PROBLEMS. But like I've written before, it is all a work in progress. So here is my solution. I'm going to post my meta-posts here on activerain. But not exclusively. I might post similar ramblings in other appropriate places. I'm going to post my specific real estate posts on my personal blog ourvailskihome.com. And if appropriate repost them here on activerain. I think this will work nicely. I'll be able to use each of the sites for their strengths.

Appropriate uses of the tools at our disposal. I think this arrangement will be effective, efficient and will hopefully spark some creativity. As well as make good reading and comments. Let the games begin.

Mark, Are you making this too complicated. Why don't you use the Active Rain Outside Blog for your ourvailskihome.com domain? When you post to AR, you can choose to include it in the Outside Blog or not. Additionally, you can just post to your Outside Blog and not AR. Avoids a lot of duplication.

I have a tendency to make thinks complicated. Does active rain have to host the outside blog?

Mark, AR does host the outside blog for free. At your current domain host you repoint the servers to AR. The only downside is that there are only a few choices to format the blog. You can have a custom header though.

I was doing my own outside Wordpress blog too but using the AR Outside Blog is so much easier. I currently have two www.mdrealestateblog.com and www.croftonliving.com. Both of these are AR Outside Blogs with my own unique domain name pointed to AR.

You could always try it and if it doesn't work out go back to what you're doing now.
