Google your first name and your town.

I tried it, too. ANd an AR post comes up first. Several other of my posts come up on the first page, along with our rental and sales pages. Interesting.

I just googled "David Columbia". Though I was not #1, I was on the first page. Surprisingly, it was a link to my tried and true first website. That does not diminish ActiveRain at all! ActiveRain has done wonders for my Internet Web Presence. I'm hoping to capitalize on all of this Google Juice in 2009!

Interesting. I tried it too. First was my 10 yr old website, then my RE Site and then Active Rain. My AR stuff then came up a number of times on the second page also.  Nice.

This is a great motivator also. I just wish alot of people just happen to write my name and real estate in the same search, haha

ActiveRain's Google juice is very powerful.  That's an interesting test you ran.  By the way, I'm going to email you a question about White Plains.

 I google and there is a basketball player at unversity of Syracuse in New York named greg .LOL

It came up with AR, my website, Localism, and a blog I have on Real Estate Webmasters, all on the first page. I'm not sure anyone would Google me that way, though.

I have googled my first and last name, i'll try just my first name and see how it goes, my website didn't even coem up but my active rain post did - thanks Active Rain!

True - And to think that others can find you.  Looks like a good search term to set up for a google alert.
