There are a couple of schools of thought on the subject of whether to open your own shop or go with a real estate franchise. The advantages are that your name would already be recognized with say a Remax or a century 21 franchise. However is the cost of that name to much? Will the name really help you or would John Does Real Estate work just as well? Franchise Disadvantages are mainly the cost. does anyone know what the big dogs charge for a franchise?

Scott, it is just a call away. I know Remax usually charges 20K per year with 3 to 5% ongoing royalty.
