How to choose a professional home inspectors?
Remember that NY state does not require insurance, only a home inspection license.
Ask these basic questions?
1. What background or ongoing training that you receive?
2. Can I attend the inspection? A great education if you hire the right home inspector
3. Any guarantees?
4. Do you have E&O insurance?
5. Member of the BBB?
6. How long does the inspection take? Make sure 2- 2 1/2 hours plus
7. Annually tested inspector?
8. What kind of equipment do you use?
9. How long are you in business?
10.When do I receive the report and what type is it?
11. How much? The cheaper the price,most likely un-insured and/or inexperienced inspector
