Do YOU see the BIG PICTURE?

Do YOU see the BIG PICTURE?  (and I'm not talking about the photo pictured here...)

As I go through agent blogs, I read about some grumblings when it comes to referrals...

Agents stating that they would rather skip a referral; that their time is better spent going after new business since it would be worth 100%, rather than working a referral for 75% of their pay.

Allow me to share my thoughts with you...

We all get buyers calling or e-mailing us from signs, advertising, brochures, realtor.com, websites, etc...

  • We work with the hopes of getting them to commit to us as being "their realtor"
  • We follow up, write letters, e-mail, etc...
  • We work hard getting them to make that first face to face meeting...

How many of these calls do we work on, just to produce ONE solid lead???

Attention all agents:    TAKE A REFERRAL...ANYTIME!  Referrals are GOLDEN!

When an agent calls me to refer their clients; I'm very much appreciative that the agent chose me over the thousands of others that he or she could have called.

These are "real leads".  The referring agent has "already done the ground work".

Once they are referred to you, they are YOUR clients.  Whether you make them yours, is up to you!

And here's the best part:  do a great job and before you know it, these referred clients will send you their friends and family members to work with!  And so on...and so on...

Also, let's not forget; if that same agent has yet another referral, once you do a great job for the first referral, who do you think they will call with another lead?

I'm shocked that you are getting an "I don't want a referral" vibe out there.  As a CRS I have sent and received numerous referrals over the past 2 decades.  These are important relationships.

Please remember me if you learn of anyone moving to Orange County and i'll do the same your way.

Best regards.

Toula, I agree.  There are many agents however that perfer to specialize and find a referral a distraction!  NOT ME!

Toula, I have learned to love both the giving and the receiving of referrals.  I had some bad experiences referring but since I found Active Rain I have had great experiences.
