Add-A-Caption!

O.K., so this is the ways it works. I'll offer up an interesting photo and you add a caption. Couldn't be simpler.

Hope it's fun, though.

This brilliant idea came to me as I helped my daughter with a class project. The class is creating its own newspaper and she has volunteered to create a comic strip for the paper. Pretty cool first one, actually; didn't know The Sydster had such talent in there. You go, girlie!

Anyways, just trying in my own little way to spark some creativity with my ActiveRain friends -- provide some sort of positive outlet for all that imaginative energy, so to speak.

Goodness knows, we need a positive oultlet; I've seen what you guys are capable of (using your awesome powers of creativity for evil...BaHa!)

As the word's teeniest Realtor prepares for her Open House, she breathlessly rehearses her greeting,

"Welcome to my OPEN! Take note of the Southwestern meets Contemporary, shatters Impressionist feel of it all! You, however, can decorate anyway you like once you BUY...WORKING W/A REALTOR? PRE-APPROVED? WANT A COOKIE?"

"Please have a seat and make yourself comfortable while my Mom is getting the contract for your all cash $2 million home purchase".

"Welcome to my home! Thank you, I have put a lot of work into decorating around here. Notice this nice bench- IKEA. I know, right!? Want some juice??"

Too cute- and great idea! She is the cutest little realtor I've ever seen! :)

Oh, Lanette - what a great idea! What? we use our creative powers for evil? NEVER! Your daughter is ADORABLE - I think she is saying, "Welcome! My mom is wrapping up a deal right now but if you have a seat she will be right with you."

Nicole - She really is a budding Realtor -- too funny when I shoot my virtual tours, she astutely points out the best features of the home ("oooh, stone fireplace and it's wood-burning!")...hilarious.

Renee - Yeah, right...that whole thing about helping w/the cleaning is a pipe dream and you know it!

Sorry, I just got my license last week. This is what they told me to ask!

Cindy - DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT mention the P word. The 2 of 'em are hot on my tail for a new puppy and that's just not happening right now. I told 'em I would consider it if they could keep their rooms clean for 2 weeks. That was in June(when I obviously lost my mind for a minute), this is December. See a puppy in my house? I'll answer that for you - UH, NOPE!

That's because I had nothing to consider. They haven't kept their rooms clean for 2 friggin weeks yet. Still love 'em to death, though...SIGH!

BaHa! - Rich - you have me truly laughing out loud here. Hubby would've asked me why I was snorting so loudly if he wasn't snoring so DAYUM loudly. I sound bitter don't I...?

Yippee, now that the house is sold I can stop making my bed every morning and get the new puppy you promised me!

Russel - how come I knew you'd somehow work cat and/or dog into your caption?! Hope you had fun coming up w/it. Thanks for stopping by.

June - love the caption - flows well off the tongue (like something a pro would say). How does one pronounce that word, though? I say shez (because I try real hard to sound continental and all-BaHa!), others say chase. Do you have a preference? Just wondering...

So cute, we call my 11 year old our realtor in training. She loves to go to open houses with me, and knows all my buyers pets on a first name basis. In fact when I go out to deliver my Christmas gifts she goes along and gives gifts to the animals. She will know right away whether or not she likes a home and tells me why.

I can't think of a caption that hasn't already been said. There are a lot of creative minds out there.

Kathy - my 10 yr old calls herself my assistant! She's the creative one who inspired this post and I'm getting her business cards as one of her Christmas gifts.
