It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, every where you go,... including right here on Active Rain!  Everything from posts on personal Christmas stories, Holiday charity events, to even pic's of some of the Rainers in their Holiday attire!  Last week, my friend  Kat De Long of Windermere, in beautiful Lake Arrowhead, CA tagged me with this NEW holiday MeMe which has been spreading throughout the network. So the rules are as follows:

The Christmas MeMe Rules:

  1. You have to name a gift you would like to have for Christmas.
  2. It HAS to be an object. We ALL want happiness for Christmas.
  3. If you could pick one single gift out for yourself, what would it be?
  4. Remember, it HAS to be something you can touch and hold.
  5. THEN, name 5 people or more and send this to them to do the same.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Well, being that I am always up for a challenge and that Kat is a GOOD friend, I thought I'd better respond and post my Christmas gift wish. However, I really don't usually like asking for things, those of you who know me well, know that I am more of a giver,... but in staying with the guidelines, I guess I will let everyone know what I am really hoping for this Christmas.  So that being said, here goes Kat!
For the past year, while being a busy Mom & business owner, I know it's hard to believe, but I also have been moonlighting as a maid, yes that's right, I said it,... a MAID!!! Well at least it feels like I am.  I wash up to 3 loads of laundry a day, iron it all, keep 4.5 bathrooms up to snuff, mop floors once a week, wash windows inside and out once a month, make beds, vacuum every 2-3 days weeks...that's right said WEEKS, as I can only vacuum when my vacuum decides it feels like working!  It's HORRIBLE!  I've taken it down to the repair shop more times this year than I care to remember, or at least my pocket book cares to remember.  So, while I desperately need to replace it with a NEW one,... during the holiday's, I would much rather just deal with it a little longer and save the $$$ and use it toward purchases for family and friends. So I guess what I'm saying is, SANTA, if you can hear me, I've been very, very, very GOOD this year and if you can find room in your sack for a NEW vacuum for little old me, I would really appreciate it!

So there you have it, my secret Christmas gift wish exposed!  Even if Santa can't get it to me in time for Christmas, there's always Valentines Day! (Ladies, for those of you who have Mr. Romantic at home, you know what I'm talking about)!

OKAY, for those of you TAGGED Rainers (your names are below the RULES), here is what you do:

The Christmas MeMe Rules:

  1. You have to name a gift you would like to have for Christmas.
  2. It HAS to be an object. We ALL want happiness for Christmas.
  3. If you could pick one single gift out for yourself, what would it be?
  4. Remember, it HAS to be something you can touch and hold.
  5. THEN, name 5 people or more and send this to them to do the same.

A vacuum?  That is too practical, you need a more exciting wish for Santa.  LOL

I would think your wish (as long as we are wishing) would be a maid. Then you could just concentrate on the good stuff!

I think you need a maid service 2 hours each week - the hell with the vacuum cleaner!

Michelle: I hope Santa brings you one of those robotic vacauums!!! My kids have one (the Piggy parents) and it is a sight to see. I'll put in a good word.

And I KNOW you are a GIVER... For sure!

Thanks for playing MeMe.

Michelle, I got that robotic vacuum at Christmas last year and I LOVE IT.  It is hard to write about something you want; isn't it.  I was tagged quite sometime ago but all I really want is our son to be home for Christmas but I know he is going to still be in Iraq so I guess I just need to get over it and think of something.

Randy- Practical Yes, but much needed!

Laura-Over the past 10 years, the maids have come and gone, but as you know it's hard to get GOOD help, and even though it alleviates some of the work, it still just isn't the same clean as when you do it yourself! Call me PICKY! ;)

Tom-Thanks for the great idea, but unfortunately this house of mine requires a bit more than just 2 hours a week, so if I can just get a NEW vacuum, I will have better control of things! ;0)

Gary- Hears a bit of advise, get her the vacuum, but don't forget to include the diamond bracelet and matching earrings! ;)

Kat- Thanks for tagging me!  I think a robotic cleaner sounds great! Now if I can just get a robot that does laundry, makes beds and scrubs bathrooms, we'll be in GREAT shape!

Marchel-  I would gladly trade all of the presents under my tree for the safe return of your son.  His service and bravery are not forgotten. I pray it is not too long from now that the two of you are re-united again! Thank you for visiting!

Okay, here it goes!  I am a happily married woman but what I would  reallylike for Christmas is a wife...you know what I mean...Someone who I can trust to take fabulously good care of my children, have the house clean when I get home, including the laundry and a hot meal on the table.  She needs to be able to entertain at the flip of a coin...and of course make as much money as I do.  Okay it's 9:00 on a Saturday night and I am at the office waiting for a signed offer so I can get signatures.  I am tired and feeling quite sarcastic.

Inquiring minds want to know... did you get the present? And if so, did you re-enact the photo?

Chuck-Santa brought me my NEW vacuum and my house has never been cleaner!  As for the re-enactment of the photo, you know it...right down to that tiny little waistline on the model! ;0)
