Real estate Guru Donald Trump AKA "The Don" said "Everything in life is luck" and then there is Clint Eastwoods classic line about asking the punk one question....do you fell lucky today, well do ya?

I learned along time ago through experience that luck is when opportunity meets preparation. I believe you create your own luck. Mick Jagger said "Yes, I'm lucky, yes I'm lucky, I'm lucky at love."

Monmouth County's own Bruce Sringsteen has an album Lucky Town where he sings "I'm going down to lucky town, down to lucky town...I'm gonna lose these blues I found down in Lucky Town.

Do some Realtors just get lucky? Isn't it true the harder you work, the luckier you get? How about the person that hits the jackpot in Atlantic City?

Perhaps we all have our own definition of luck....WHAT IS YOURS?

James: Blessings are key....you are right, my definition is when opportunity meets preparation, I saw that on a plaque 17 years ago and I subscribe to that definition

I think that luck is being at the right place at the right time. Just the other day during my floor time (which I'm not too crazy about) walked in a FSBO... after trying for 3 months to sell the house on his own he threw in the towel and walked into my office, asked for an agent (me) and signed the listing no questions asked (he was ok with my pricing opinion, my terms, and giving me access whenever I needed it). Now, tell me was that luck? Sure it was, but this was a once in a lifetime thing, something I can't live off for the rest of my life. I find more luck in playing the numbers game of prospecting for leads!!!
