I refuse to participate in all of this recession talk.
In fact, most of the people that I know are beginning to realize that they can do the same.
Is it real? YES.
Is the world crumbling around us? NO.
Is there an unbelievable opportunity all around us? YES.
Am I personally and professionally doing everything that I can to make 2009 one of our best years? YES.
First of all, there are no good or bad times. All times are good times when you understand how and when to change your strategies. We are truly blessed to work with people all over the country that are making more money now than they have ever made before. They are employing new strategies and new techniques to identify opportunties. People that wouldn't touch Short Sales a year ago are now making their living off of them. Change is everything.
So I've decided....I am not participating in the recession and I invite you to not participate either.
People are still spending money. For those of you that watch our updates, you see that 1-800-SELL-NOW is growing like crazy (now in over 200 markets and adding more everyday). Our investment business at MemphisInvest.com experienced the single biggest year in sales that we have ever had (over 190 houses wholesaled this year). While the tone of the general public is fear, the fact is that people are still spending money. It's not that the amount of money has vanished, it's that people are hoarding and holding more than usual. People will continue to spend money on what they want to and that is the key.
During these types of climates, you must get back to basics. It's never how much something costs that determines the market, it's how much value you are providing to the market for the price. How much people spend on something is determined by its value.
Value is always perception.
At 1-800-SELL-NOW, we have mad a concerted effort to increase our services, bring in greater value-added services, and to increase the overall value of our service to our customers - and Voila, our brand and our company is growing like crazy in one of the toughest econimic times that the country has ever seen.
And here is the best part......not only do our clients get a great service and value. But in the end, they now have the tools and opportunity to reach and help more people in their own market..........again, Value.
Some people took out loans they thought they could afford and now find out they aren't able to. OK. Just about everyone that I know has been touched by this problem. What to do? Time to suck it up and deal with what emerges. Stay in the present moment. I am fortunate to have survived some tough financial times in the past. That experience gave me a great foundation to realize that you will always learn more in the tough times than in the easy times. Most of my greatest and most creative strategies and ideas came when I was broke and scared.
Now is not the time to crawl into a hole and hope. Hope is not a strategy. Embrace the fear that you have and let it drive you to attack life.
Now is the time to be inspired. Surround yourself with people that inspire you and want to reach new heights in 2009.
Do the things that are necessary to get you on the path to your ultimate success!!! There is opportunity all around us.
