The experiences that we real estate agents expeirence often runs the gauntlets. The highs, the lows. The thrills, and boredom. The very abnormal to the downright exhillerating. Well, I don't care what your experience was. The experience of this agent, I'm sure, will top 99.9% of the experiences that the rest of us have lived.
As reported in Inman, this agent, a West Point graduate was recalled by the Army and sent to Iraq. His assignment? Not security. Not sweeps. Not forward operations. Not guard duty. Rather - civil affairs - survey local businessmen and learn about the economy.
This gentleman was able to meet with tw oreal estate brokers based in Baghdad (apparently our profession survives in some pretty harsh locations!). There is no MLS. Its all about pocket listings! Brokers represent sellers ONLY and receive 3%. All transactions are CASH. And apparently things are boooooming over there.
