Now is the time for the cream to rise to the top. Are you a top producer? Do you have all the time in the world and little cash? Start thinking outside the box.

Newspaper ads aren't working. Website banner ads can be high cost low return (depending on the source). Anyway, now is the time to get creative.

Today we compiled a "Season Greetings Card" with a seasonal promotion for our services. Sure we could have mailed them out and gone back to our listings. INSTEAD our agents went to three different shopping centers and distributed them to all of the stores. Already we are seeing results (both from the exposure of our company, as well as the exposure of our website).

What are you doing to put yourself out there and let people know you are in business and ready to work? Are you pounding the pavement?

Great idea to market to the stores in the Mall - I will have to try that one.  Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to hearing more "out-of-the-box" ideas.  Best of luck to you.

So, you created a holiday greeting card and gave them to the stores in the malls? Did you hand them out to all the employees?  I like the concept, and think this was probably good networking for your business.

Hi Nick,

This is a great and timely post.

The thing I am focusing on is media.  It's free and it allows me to better position our services.

I am not a big fan of print advertising.

Marjorie, I have a few more ideas I will be posting over the next couple of days. Integrity Mortage, thank you for the reply! Troy, yes we have been handing them out to all of the employees.  Mark, I am not a fan of print advertising... however meeting these people face to face with a pamphlet to hand them that focuses on our website and services offered is definitely worth it to me.

Thanks for the responses!
