Acupuncture and acupressure servicesAcupuncture & acupressure really work!! The medical technique of acupuncture has been practiced in China for a couple thousand years (and most likely for more).

By using thin needles, chi or energy, is unblocked along certain 'path's or meridians they travel throughout the body. This unblocking of chi is to balance the body's level of opposing energy, known as Ying and Yang.

Personally, I stumbled upon a man who is excellent at providing acupuncture services! It started with a cough I couldn't shake. I had trouble breathing without coughing, as my airway was constricted, like a persistent asthma attack. Upon my visit and initial consultation, Edward Scarlett went to work on me. It was amazing, as I could feel my breathing deepen with each breath!! I kid you not!!

I kicked the cold/flu immediately and have been going back for his acupuncture services every 3 weeks for about 3-4 months now. Some sessions would offer immediate changes in my body while others would be felt over a period of a few days. I am continually amazed after each acupuncture session.

Edward not only works with your body, but he takes a holistic approach and probes with questions about your lifestyle that really make you think. Of the top of my head, one of the biggest things I realized is that we need to take time to relax. As an appraiser and Realtor®, I really get caught up in deadlines and the "go, go, go" lifestyle. Mr Scarlett has showed me (and I'm paraphrasing) that the music of life is not only about the notes (the events) but the pauses in between the notes. Wow! great analogy! Now that I have slowed down, I feel much better, relaxed and have incorporated my one day a week to enjoy life with a trip to the beach, go out with my wife and to meet with friends and find some balance between work and play.

I asked him about using acupuncture for weight loss, for high blood pressure, for children with ADHD.. and he mentioned that all can be treated. Mr. Scarlett will meet with you for a free consultation to see what your needs are, explain the process and then allow you to decide if you would like to continue.

Edward Scarlett is based out of Delray Beach and owns the "Center for Health".
With 15 years of experience, Edward is an acupuncture specialist who really knows what he is doing. I have been to other acupuncturists in the past and the pale by comparison. 'Ed the Healer' is the real deal, he is a true acupuncture specialist.

The 'Center for Health' is located in Delray Beach,
just north of Atlantic Avenue, off of NE 5th Avenue, 1 block West of Federal Highway.

HAI SENSEI...

My wife is a big accupuncture fan... she was in  a horrible car wreck about 10 years ago and accupuncture helped her recovery.  Her mom's friend was an accupuncturist and would come every day and work on her

Nick, acupuncture has been important in the medical solutions in our lives.  Started going to the Chinese acupuncturist in Hong Kong when we lived in China.  Had great experiences.  It is difficult to find really great practitioners.  Thanks for the info.

Hi Ruth!, yet another testimony to acupuncture :))  Living in China!! very exciting!!! If you need someone or know of someone, I recommend Edward blindly. I have been to several over the years, and his approach and skills are the best we have seen. (myself and family members).. his sister is also a healer in a physical therapy office. I guess it runs in the family! :))

Hi Mokina.. nope.. normally you don't feel anything.. a slight pinch or prick at worst. it's not nearly like getting a shot or getting blood drawn,. yikes!!  normally, you don't even feel it. once i got a needle in my foot, and i thought it was in like a couple millimeters, and it was all the way in, more like an inch! and i didn't feel a thing. it's really cool, and the good it does it simply amazing!! i look forward to my sessions. :) thanks for stopping by Monika.

Needles. I have always heard great things about this - I have had the pleasure of experiencing acupressure - but no needles. But, then again, I am never really IN pain, as much as I AM A PAIN ... :)

Hi Mariana, glad to hear to haven't had pain. if you were, you may rethink the needle issue! :) they are super thin, so its not a big deal. :))  I doubt you're real a pain!

not directed at you, Mariana,.. but it's funny how in life, people's perception of certain things will prevent them from experiencing them. Any minimal discomfort that you MAY experience with a treatment is far, FAR less than the actual pain you're trying to rid yourself of!! :)
