Christmas. What a wonderful time of the year. People singing, people laughing, people giving, festive spirits, and not to mention the eye candy of the lights and decorations that adorn homes and businesses. Ah, as the song writer said, "Christmas is the hap-hapiest time of the year."

If you live in the Nashville area, one of the best places to see lights and enjoy top notch entertainment is at the Opryland Hotel. Check the marquee to see what is happening entertainment wise and while there, walk through the 3 atriums and check out some of the 2 million Christmas lights that adorn this place. Truly eye candy for anyone like me that loves the colors of Christmas.

Michael, I LOVE the Opryland! I went to a conference there once and you literally don't have to go ANYWHERE else to find something to do!  I'm also an E. Tenn native and love my home state!

Look up the executive chef there, Jason Croll, who started his career in my restaurants kitchen! I no longr am in that business but it was fun in the 80's!

Beautiful place, Opryland!

Michael - One of these days when I retire we will have to get the RV going in your direction. Christmas is always a nice time of the year. Never have been RV'ing around Christmas and may have to give it a try (have to get approval from Ceil and kids and grandids first) I have a feelling I may have to pick another time of the year.

Nice Pic's.

Michael, I guess that when you live in the city where spectacles like these exist and you have been to it many, many times, it can be taken for granted. It is very cool nonetheless. It creates commerce and jobs and most importantly joy to many who venture from near and far to see.

Good post

Bo

Michael - the opryland hotel is easily the best looking christmas time place to see in Nashville. The only bad part, is that everyone wants to see it.

Thanks for the post, now I can get to see the Opryland Hotel lights without making the drive, though I would recommend to anyone who hasn't seen them to get out there in person.

Wow!  The Cascades Atrium certainly is a special sight to see.  My daughter may go to Vanderbilt next year, and if she does, we'll have to check it out!
