Table tops are a perfect opportunity for creating a great focal point and literally transforming a room's appearance. Not only can we put a lot of color and design to work, but a beautifully set table makes for an inviting room. I would love to see others' table tops. I love the one with the fabric swagged on the table top. I could never pull that off - it would look like I forgot to spread it out or something. Looks lovely.
Your tables are beautiful. Your photos should be published in magazines. May I ask what kind of camera that you use?
Thank you for all the kind words. I'm tending to use my professional photographer more and more. His pictures really capture the rooms in a way my own little Olympus camera just can't do. In this group of photos, it's easy to see which ones are pro's and which ones I took.
I'm lucky I found a very good photographer, Dan Tharp, to do my interiors. They're not always easy but Dan is able to show the 'essence' a lot more than I ever could.
When you've done a project that turns out well, I suggest having a pro come in to take the after shots. Photos are our calling cards and we want that representation to be the best it can be.
This was a very difficult, small area in a condo and all we had to work with was the homeowner's very old table and chairs. I think it turned out ok for being such a bad peice of furniture.

I love table settings.. they're FUN and creative to do, and I find that I get a lot of interested decorating clients from viewing my stagings because of them.
I've found lately that some stagers think that setting a full table setting isn't necessary anymore, while maybe not.. it brings me a lot of creative joy... and great feedback & referrals!!

Your table settings are amazing Melody! I love doing tables too. This is one that is way over the top, it was done for a charity Holiday Home Tour benefiting ovarian cancer. I went all out on the decor because of the season and the cause. Definately not for a staging but it was fun to do.
Wow, these table setting are beautiful! They put my little table top to shame ~ I almost didn't post my pictures but I promised myself to be more 'Active' on AR this year, so in spite of my nerves, here goes ~
Wonderful table settings. So much for me to learn and practice. A beautiful table makes a person feel they would be living in luxury--especially these tables. It is the center pieces that give me trouble so it was good to see such a variety of ideas.
