We often hear prospective FSBO sellers say they don't want to pay brokerage fees, so they're going to do the job themselves. The first question a seller considering FSBO must ask themself is Who is going to want to buy my house? The answer is the opportunist who spots a home made for sale sign on the corner. This buyer immediately assumes the seller is saving money on brokerage fees, so they will accept a low offer. In other words, FSBO sellers are attracting the very people they'd rather avoid.
