As many of my Active Rain friends know, back in October, I switched over to Time Warner Cable Internet ... And everything was working just fine until a couple days ago:

Each day for the last three days, I have had to phone Time Warner to "reset" the cable modem.  (It did not react to rebooting on my side.)  After they "reset" on their side it would work fine for several hours, but if I left to, oh, say, do something like sleep, my connection would be gone when I got up and came back to the 'puter.

Today I left my home to go to the office a little before 9:00 AM.  I fully expected my internet connection to be whacked by the time I got back home.

But .... Glory!!!! Hallelujah!!!!  It's still on!!!!  I am connected!!!!!

And at a respectable speed....

If there is a Patron Saint of internet connections, thank you, dear Saint!!!

(If there isn't a patron saint of internet connections, maybe someone can nominate me after I'm gone.)  :-)

It's a nightmare isn't it?  We're still with Time Warner cable after all that since getting anything else is a pain in the ass.  I'm experiencing the same thing you are in my new apartment.  If I let the laptop sit for a while the connection disappears.  What is the dill.  Srcly Nw.

Connection issues are always a pain.  I have a wireless connection in my house that for whatever reason often disconnects when sitting at the kitchen table.  It's highly irritating.

Caution: CAT BLOG AHEAD

Including random thoughts on life, art, business, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate.

What is a CAT BLOG?

According to Seth Godin: "Cat blogs are for, by, and about the person blogging. A cat blog is about your cat and your dating travails and your boss and whatever else you feel like sharing in your public diary."

Well, I am the boss, my dating years are behind me, but I do love my cats.

Enjoy!
