
Tonight and Tomorrow night, Saturday and Sunday, December 13-14, Dallas' Fair Park will host Fair Park Holiday Lights festival from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. This free event promises fun for the whole family with fun including:
- Official City of Dallas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday, with a special candlelight tribute to the men and women serving in the military on both nights. Thousands of LED lights will be shining throughout the park during the holiday season.
- Dallas Wind Symphony will perform holiday concerts in the Band Shell at 4:30 p.m.
- Free admission to all Fair Park museums from 3 to 7 p.m.
- First-ever holiday movie at 7 p.m. on the field of the Cotton Bowl (The Polar Express will be featured on Saturday and Elf on Sunday) Attendees are invited to bring their blankets, lawn chairs, sleeping bags and wear holiday PJ favorites!
- Family-friendly event will include holiday fare, entertainment, music, lights, horse-drawn carriages, hay rides, a Yule log, and kids crafts, games and activities.
- Photographs with Santa and Mrs. Claus
- Tours of the newly renovated Cotton Bowl from 3:00 to 5:30 pm
- Texas Skyway Gondola ride will be open
- On Sunday, kids and adults can tube down a Texas-sized snow hill located adjacent to Big Tex Circle.
- Dallas Puppet Theater will present Holiday on Strings - magical, musical, marionette performances at 3:15 p.m., 4 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:15 p.m.
- Navidad in the Neighborhood, a non-profit organization, will be collecting new toys during the two-day event
- Stuff-A-DART Bus benefiting the North Texas Food Bank
Over 60,000 people are expected to attend this holiday event hosted by Friends of Fair Park, a non-profit organization. If you are around tomorrow evening be sure to check it out!
