Ethical REALTOR Ethical Leadership

Be the change you want to see. How are we treating each other? What single most important ethical trait do you consider of foremost importance in REALTOR-To-REALTOR relationships?  Let's build a list to share with others.  Considering THE GOLDEN RULE, which single characteristic would you like to see all of us augment? As an example, I always practice the "put it in writing" decree. Recently, a new breed of REALTORS in my marketplace are asking me to "float" a number by my seller. There is ethical leadership in responding, "Put it in writing." This not only educates them to a Standard Of Practice but also positions them to communicate with buyers about the ethics of our industry. To paraphrase: "Ethical is as ethical does." Our collective contribution to this list will heighten awareness, and raise our industry standard.
