Could you spend $86,400 every day?

What would you do if someone gave you $86,400 every day?  The only catch is that you must spend it all.  Any money left over was lost, but then the next day you would receive another $86,400.

I doubt if anyone is going to give you $86,400 every day, but each day you do get 86,400 seconds, you must spend them all as you cannot carry them over to the next day.

Do you spend them all, or do you waste many of those precious seconds.

I spend all mine every day.. .some days wisely and some days foolishly, but I do spend them, otherwise I wouldn't be waking up the next day and thats when the spending stops.   Even those I spend foolishly are not wasted, because I'm alive, and I appreciate that!  :)

As I look back over my adult life I can definitely see how I could have spent many of my seconds, minutes, hours, days, etc. more wisely.

Hi Richard... as with most things in life, hindsight is 20/20.  What we need to do is focus on spending tomorrow's 86,400 seconds wisely and with purpose.

Gail,

Good for you I could tell you enjoy every minute of every day.

Shirley,

The good part is it is never to late.

Steve,

I think you hit it on the head.

Wow? what a way to think and do we really need all the seconds in a day. I am going to ponder this and come back to see how everyone else looked at it.

David, Patrick and Charles - thanks for your comments.

I'm not sure we need all the seconds in a day, but just like dollars they should not be wasted.
