I was sitting around the table with my extended family last night and my brother and I got into a heated argument in regards to the state of the economy.  I suggested that his glass was half full.

One of the things my family loves to joke about is how much I hate to be told what to do.  In fact all you have to do to get me in a tail spin is to tell me I can't do something....

That is how this very rant of mine came along, I am sick and tired of the news media the bankers, my brother and all the rest of the muckity muck telling us how bad the economy is and insinuating how we should all be hoarding our money.

So, with that said, I am going to work twice as hard if not more to make 2009 the best year ever and on top of that I am going to go out and spend some money on Christmas presents today.

Glass of Wine

My glass is Half Full.

Please join me in a toast to 2009 being a fabulous year!

Kathy, I'm with you!  I've been out doing my part to stimulate the economy by buying a few presents myself!

2009 is gonna be a great year!

Kathy~I'm a firm believer that you're not going to get anything more than what you put into it. Like you, I'm planning to kick bootie next year...not that closing just under $5M this year has been too bad either :-)

Here's to a half full glass...may we all have many more!

LaShawn ~ I like that Kick Bootie, we may have to start a kick bootie club.  I am closing just over $7M this year down $1M from last  year and worked twice as hard.

Kathy - my glass is never less than half full, 2009 will be a banner year for me also as well as for those willing to work hard.

Paul ~ I think lively conversation would be putting it mildly. A group of type A personalities with no filter would be the best way to describe us.  The best part is that we all still love each other at the end of the day.  My mother has us all over every Sunday night, much to my husbands dismay.

Mike ~ Glad to hear that 2009 will be a banner year.  I already have two closing scheduled for 2009, it's a good start.

I am with you 100% on this one.  You have a great attitude!!!   I am doing a mailing today to my 80 something CPA's, attorneys and other business professionals that I do business with.  If you begin planting seeds now while everyone else is complaining you will get a head start!
