as of December 17, 2008 The Clark County School District has closed schools for Thursday. Students and teachers do not have to report to school, but the district says all administrators and support staff still have to report to work in the morning.

No flights are taking off or landing at McCarran International Airport due to poor visibility and flights from around the country that are headed to Las Vegas are being kept on the ground until the weather improves.

Its snowing In Las Vegas!!! wow

Someone once told me that When it snows in Vegas, the slots tend to snow as well (as in winners).  Any truth to that?

I was also told to always bet the first gray horse, that tends to hold true for me.

Snow in the desert?  And they say there's a global warming problem.  Looks like a cooling issue to me.

Global warming hasn't hit Las Vegas yet!  It is a beautiful white blanket!  Hope you had time to enjoy it.  Snow lover in Connecticut:)
