Random acts of kindness

This Holiday season is no different than any other.Tis the season for giving! But this year I'm giving more than store bought gifts. I'm going to volunteer at a local soup kitchen. I'm not asking you all to do this because I know it involves time and time is precious. So if you cant volunteer at the many charities in your local town then just be nice to people this season. Let the person go who is in a big hurry, hold the door for the person behind you. I think the biggest gift we can give is our smile. It doesn't cost anything to smile and it makes you and the person receiving feel better.

I remember one Christmas I went up to a stranger who looking for nickel cans in the garbage. I gave her $20 and her face lit up and could not believe that I was doing that. I forgot to mention I am helping my local church deliver presents to shut-ins next weekend. This is the second year I do this and they really appreciate the gift and the short visit I spend with them. I am not posting this for any attention to myself whatsoever. I just want to let you know there are many random acts of kindness we can all do this Holiday season.

Happy Holidays,

I am all for random acts of kindness especially during the holiday season.   There is a hair dresser in town whose dad recently suffered a heart attack and is recuperating in a hospital.  He would like to visit his dad but his dad lives far away in another state and he currently is strapped for money to be able to visit his dad.  A very good friend of mine travels a lot for business and decided to anonymously transfer air miles to the hair dresser's account so that he could visit his dad.  Keep up the good work with the volunteering at the local soup kitchen and happy holidays!
