10 Comments on Ice Storm in New Hampshire cripples the electrical grid.
Hi Judy! I'm glad you have your water back on. What a mess you all have had! I hope this is not a preview of things to come for you guys. Stay warm and safe! I love your new wordpress blog...very nice. I left you a comment over there.
Judy this ice storm was a nasty one. Most of Connecticut was spared from it, but many of those in the northern part of the state that got hit with it still do not have their power back.
It is beautiful, but it comes with so many problems. I hope that power will be restored to everyone soon. ~GBU~
Linda - thanks for your care and concern - they are telling us the electrical grid has not ever sustained such wide spread damage. There are still a lot of people without power.
George - Not having access to TV, Internet - I was not aware of how far the storm reached.
Elizabeth - Ice makes for a beautiful winter landscape but the damage it can do can be devastating. Thanks for the blessing.
It is pretty, like everything is encased in glass. Too bad it is so damaging!
Sharon - It is so beautiful but we have found out the extent of the damage it can do with still over 50,000 people living without power today (1 week later).
I am so happy to be back in my house. The power came on at 4:50 pm today and after 8 cold days I am finally warm!
Moni - I am so happy to hear you are in your home with heat and running water again. I was so worried about you in the snow storm tonight. Now I can rest knowing you and jay are safe. I hope the electric companies are able to get everyone back on line soon. I know they are working hard to do so but it does not help when you are the one out in the cold.
Hi Judy, I hope things are back to normal. I'm sure it was a beautiful sight but it caused problems for lots of people. Take care.~
Shirley - We are warm and well. There are still around 20-30 thousand people in NH without power and we are in the midst of a snowstorm due to dump about a foot of snow tonight.
