I recently learned that everybody is a salesman even when you do not want to be!  Long story short, I am have been diligently attempting to contact various sources to make my services available to fire victims and I get the same response every time, :What can we do for you Mr. Gil?"  My response, please alert homeowners that I am able to offer design services to help get them back on their feet for about half the price of standard architectural fees at this time.  See my Profile if interested as to how and why... Then I am told, "Sorry, we do not advertise!"

I am genuinely able to help these folks during the window of time prior to the finalization of my pro registration because I can keep my fees down while providing the same full service as  firm with registered architects though I have to resort to classifieds to be heard.  I was a bit surprised by this and thought I'd get some other opinions.

Why not have a mini seminar for insurance agents who may have the credability and timliness in such situations to address the need for your services with home owners and the companies that they represent ?  Happy holidays and good marketing luck !

Hi and thanks for the response.  Not a bad idea but after contacting two dozen insurance agencies, these are the folks who assume my intentions are merely financial gain.  I had anticipated that they would realize that less expensive design services might help them to resolve their own financial woes, but I suppose they are overwhelmed in California and are having trust issues as a result.  Somehow I think that nobody would attend a seminar!  LOL
