Atlanta Country Club Golf Homes Estate Sale Private Gated Public Course Subdivision

In our area, the cycle of peak and off season was like clock work. January the listing appointments came, early Spring you were showing homes at least every other day so folks could close in the Summer and start off the kids in a new school from day one. Early Autumn we would be the usual busy and from Thanksgiving on we were dead till the 1st. Hah! Throw that calender out the window! This year Spring and Autumn traded places, and that usual comatose time after Thanksgiving? Shoot, busier now than late Spring. Adapt and survive? I do not have a problem with that, but, throw past years out the window. Truth is I do not have a clue what the new cycle will be, matter of fact, forget trying to figure that out and just roll with it. Typically our internet leads drop of 50% in November, well the word typical is out the window too. We are only off by about 25%, and that is GOOD news. Fact is, you cannot say I'm gearing up for the busy time, you might be watching it slip by as you speak. Forget about figuring it out and the prognosticators that predict cycles. Just roll with it! Now, when do I take a vacation???? Hmmm.

Frank -

Indeed, things have changed, haven't they?

Up here in the Cool Blue North, we're predicting a more vibrant first quarter than last year.  Listing opportunities abound here now, during the Fourth Quarter, but showings have been few and far between, offers as well - and they are LOW, when they do come in!

Let's all work for a busy, and successful, 2009!

Happy Holidays!

Good inspiration!  It is slow here right now, most buyers are holding off, although the fall was good!

Kristin - The Fall is usually when we take a vacation, guess we'll have to play it by ear now. Glad you were busy!

In New York City, bonus season opens the flood gates for some big time purchasing.  This year bonuses are not even close to what they once were so our cycle will be a lot different also.

Cycle?  What cycle?!  You are SO right--my December has been busy for the past three to four years and prior to that, it was dead!  Right now, lots of investors out there trying to snag a good deal and there are plenty to be had about now!

Debe - That sounds very familiar. Busy in December? Not long ago that was unheard of. I give up on forecasting, lets just go at it all year!
