Did you know that your dog can affect the cost of your home insurance policy? Most people do already know that, but there are some breeds of dogs that are so dangerous that homeowners may have to pay extra or find alternative home insurance elsewhere.
This is because insurance carriers know that certain breeds of dogs are more likely to bite visitors who come into the home, resulting in potential claims. While many dog owners take offense to this - after all, the dog is their puppy - it cannot be helped. Reports from the Center for Disease Control say that more than 4.7 million dog bites occur each year.
