With the announcement of Hemlock Semiconductor Corp. coming to Clarksville, Austin Peay State University will grow as well. APSU is planning a new 20,000 Square Foot facility that will include a 4,200 Square foot lab, Classrooms and offices for faculty pending the approval from the Tennessee Board of Regents.
Hemlock Semiconductor Corp. plans to give APSU $6.4 million for a program to train future employees.
The growth to Austin Peay State University will include a new associate's degree program in applied science under the College of Science and Mathematics which will add about 17 new professors for a new Associates Degree to be offered starting in the fall semester of 2009
