I FELL NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE...DELIVERING KEN'S WHEATLAND SOUTH, CRESTVIEW KNOLLS, AND HIGH MEADOW VIEW.

Do I intentionally choose the cold days to deliver my newsletters?

The thermometer never peeked above 16 degrees this week as I was making my deliveries.

And it wasn't the cold, but the ice that presented a hazard.

Last weekend the temps were in the 50s.  Lots of rain.  Sunday night, as the temps plunged into the teens, a layer of ice was created over Chicagoland.

Tuesday was the real scary day.

Several times I was forced to walk like baby horse taking his first steps...

Twice I fell flat on my back.

Panic really kicks in as one is about to fall on a sidewalk.

Please don't get hurt!

Fortunately, no major injuries.

280 more newsletters delivered.

I am almost there...

Hi Ken, Be careful out there in icy conditions.  Going the extra mile is good but you are exceeding the extra mile. Thumbs up for your good efforts... but be careful.

Hi Cherimie, Shirley, and Larry.  Thanks guys!

Larry, no I don't know him.  We are not as young as we used to be.

Shirley, you are correct.  But I have gone too far to turn back now.

Cherimie, I know you have never seen ice before, but it is pretty slippery.:)

Thanks again,

Ken

Hope you survive the rest of your deliveries without injury. It's 72 degrees here, so I don't have much of a problem.

Hi Tim.  Thanks so much.  I think so too...

Twice I fell flat on my back.

Yikes Ken!  Please be careful.  It's not worth ending up in the hospital.  What do people say when they see you walking around their neighborhood?  Or are you the only one out in that kind of weather?

16 degrees!  I'm shivering out here in CA with mid-40 degree temps.

I know just how you feel.  My partner and I had planned on delivering ours on Friday.  But although the temperature hit almost 70 degrees in Kentucky, it was extremely windy so we decided to do it Monday.  Guess what - Monday it's supposed to be in the teens!

Hi Bruce and Ford/Weber.  Thanks for reading.

Bruce, good to see you on AR.  Did you get your license?

F/W, can't do it in the wind.  Don't like the wind.  Have fun on Monday!

Thanks again,

Ken

Ken - You need to be careful delivering those newsletters. That is the one good thing about Florida no snow. When I deliver newsletters I just need to bring alot of drinking water.

Hi Ken,

Not yet.  That's going to have to wait for a while.  After reading two great posts, one by Jim Crawford and one by Jason Crouch, I realized that I would be jumping the gun if I started now.  I'm slow, but I'll get there eventually!  :)

Hi Robert and Bruce.

Robert, I think I have preferred the cold to the hot of summer.

Bruce, I would like to see you get licensed as soon as possible.  I don't know what you read, but time in the business is a huge determinant of income.

Thanks for stopping by,

Ken

Hi Ken,

That's true.  I should have gotten my license 30 years ago, and started investing too.  The way CA real estate has grown in value, I'd be retired now!

Hi Bruce.  I am a big believer in no reason to wait.

Get a picture in there, too!  Lets have a look at you!:)

Okay.  Okay.  Jason Crouch said the same thing.  Picture is up.

By the way, I read that it's almost 30 below with the Chicago wind chill.  Have you ever thought about moving back to CA?!  :)

Wow, that is some brutal weather.  Here in sunny California we are having a mini spring with temps in the 70's and no rain for over a week. hang in there

Fun, but not good for deliveries.
