Tuesday, the Solano county board of supervisors explored the possibilities associated with making some key changes to the use of land, sharing their views of updating the Solano county General Plan and how it relates to the agricultural future. Keeping landowners afloat economically is the key said one supervisor.

Keeping farmers afloat keeps Solano county from becoming a house farm with rows of houses instead of crops.

Also discussed were areas around some Solano cities as it pertains to the update of the general plan. Parks, open space, agriculture and of utmost importance is that no decisions have been made, discussions are important to airing out opinions on each issue.

The new opportunities and all issues raised Tuesday will become part of the land use alternatives to be addressed by the Citizen's Advisory Committee in future meetings. Agriculture concerns will be aired in front of the Agricultural committee.
