Pretty sunset. Why do your trees still have leaves?

Richard, Ths was take a few days back. We stil have leaves on trees into December. They lose them and at the same time new buds appear are on the branch

Doreen, Arizona has amazing sunsets. But God paints some awesome ones here too!

Las Vegas has sunsets like this too. But tonight they are covered in lots of snow. Rare for Vegas. Even closed the airports and the schools.

What do you think about the controversy that Wordless Wednesday type posts (all of the days of the week posts THAT do not have words but just a photo) are wrong? Or that they don't belong on ActiveRain?

Lenn's post questioned not using alt text to describe the photos. Now there is a featured post where a lot of the conversation seems to be "Me, Me, Me" comments about how they want to learn something from a post, that if it is a pretty picture it does not serve their purpose. Doesn't feed them what they want...

I don't believe I have ever commented on a Wordless Wednesday post or any other photo only post before.

Hi Maureen, Active Rain has become a melting pot for all forms of expression. There is something for everyone. If we can write about private family matters, vactions, spiritual growth or challenges, politics, fiction, charities, etc, Why should we not be able to say it with photographs? No one needs to particpate if they don't like to. I was excited when I learned about the photo blogs. What bothers me is posters who break the rules by adding more than 50 words to get points. I am going to look for that post you mentioned now. Thanks for the feedback! Merry Christmas my friend.

Sandy, I heard about the Las Vegas snow.. Amazing~ Its in the 70's here this week.

It is a melting pot. I wondered with AR featuring the post if they believed it was not good for the network. I know they want local photos on Localism posted as photos.
