But I Don’t Want to Blog! By Guest Writer Tall One

DolphinToday is "Take Your Kid to Work Day" and as you can see, my Mom is making me blog against my will.  -_-  So I think I'm going to blog about my reluctance to blog.

Mom says a lot of you people are afraid to blog too.  I always used to think Mom blogged just for fun until she showed me it makes it easier for people to find her.  If they can't find her, they won't use her to buy a house and that would be bad.

I didn't want to blog because it makes me nervous.  People I don't even know will be READING THIS!!!!  O_O  That's very scary.

That made Mom laugh.  She said some of you are scared about it too.

Come on, you are GROWN PEOPLE.  If a kid can do this, you can too!

Sometimes I wonder if Mom gets scared.  I think sometimes she does, she just doesn't say anything about it.  Oh wait, she says no.  LIAR.  Shame on you.

I like that part, I got to tease my mom on the Internet.

OK maybe blogging isn't all that bad.  Maybe I'll do this again sometime.  Naaaaah.  =)

Sarah's "Tall One" - I popped over to read your blog after seeing it mentioned by your Mom, in her blog this morning. Don't tell your Mom but I too have a real difficult time blogging. What to say and how to say it - lots of people I don't know will be reading it - YIKES! The thing is once you start though you find you can't really stop! So congratulations on a well written and entertaining one - I am certain that it isn't your last!

Tall One - I love to hear about how you are doing - being a mom of 4 girls and one boy it is always fun to know you love your mom and are so willing to see how her world works... I think they should have a bring your parent to school day... what do you think.... how would mom do with your spelling and math tests?

Tall One is in.

Maggie: Ah, that explains the mango thing.  2nd post?  ...Maaaybe.

Rick & Ines: Uncle Nicky had a wipeout!  That was funny!  You guys live in a really nice place.

Phillip: Blogging is really addictive, I might blog more in the future.  I didn't think I would like it at first, though.

Thesa: The very thought of a bring your parent to school day horrifies me! O_O  My mom would probably pass the tests though.

Lysa: Yeah!  And it would be hosted at the beach in Florida!  That would be really fun!

Hi Tall One - I am so sorry I missed your post yesterday, but I saw it mentioned elsewhere and wanted to come say hi anyway.  And I see you're still checking in, so I hope you get my big hello from New Hampshire.

Your mom really is COOL, to us, and I bet when you get a little older you'll probably think she is, too.  She writes all kinds of great things that alot of us here like to read.  And she sends out nice postcards that make people feel really special when they receive them.  That's a great thing to do.

So, how did you like going to work yesterday?  I'm sure your favorite lunch was great, but tell us about the actual 'work day'.

I'm glad I got to say hi, and I hope you'll come back and write us some more down the road.Lobster
Here's a picture of some of our favorite food up here in New Hampshire.....

Tall One: I let “Daisy” do the talking yesterday, today the words are all mine. Your writing is impressive—there are many adults who can’t, or won’t write as well as you did in this post. I also liked how well you replied to theactive rain|active codgers, your active fans image comments made on this post—well thoughy and well written—you indeed are way ahead of many here on the ‘Rain. I suffered a stroke a few years ago, that affects my speech some, and my hand coordination, so it takes me a very long time to write even a short comment—and since I remain loquacious, it affects how many comments I can make—most frustrating—but I persist in spite of this, because it is important in a social venue such as Active Rain to both comment and reply to comments made. Well done young lass—well done!

Tall One, way to go with the blogging.  My two boys, The Mayor and the Noisy One, always wonder what mom is up to when she blogs.  You should start your own blog; you have a great style!

Ann: What's up with my mom being so cool?  I just don't see it.  I do think it's nice that she sends you guys postcards.  Well, we didn't do much yesterday, but today I got to sit with Mom while she worked desk duty.  It was basically 5 hours of sitting there.

Jay: Awww, I'm sorry to hear that.... T.T (that's how we say we're crying)  But you're doing okay now right?  I'm glad you still blog, I enjoy reading them!

Valerie: The Mayor and the Noisy One?  I like that!  I'll occasionally see what Mom's writing.  I might start blogging.

Tall one, don't let her see how good you are at this, or she'll put you to work!!!

My four year old was already great at sticking stamps on postcards at 3!!!! (cheap labour for a candy bar)...

It is great that you supported your Mum, and I know she is super proud of you.

Tall One - you will see that one day, hopefully sooner than later.  As we get older, our parents begin to look different to us.  They become REAL people, and not just parents who told us what to do and when.  They somehow get smarter, and even more fun to be with.  At least that's how it happened in my family.  My parents became really cool and alot of fun to be around. My friends really loved spending time with them because they were so much fun to be around.  Writing this makes me really miss my mom more than I already do.  She passed away a little while back, and we all miss her so much.  That's why I said I hope the day you begin to think your mom is really cool and all that other stuff happens sooner than later.  That way, you can have a whole lot of time having fun and being friends in addition to being mother and daughter.

I hope we get to see you making guest appearances here on your mom's blog every once in awhile - it's been fun chatting with you and reading everything you wrote.

Tall One,

Sorry I missed your day in the life of a Fabulous Realtor aka Your Mom - If you guys start heading this way come see me - we've got some of the best beaches in the country.

By the way, if you're interested in marine biology you'd love the Clearwater Marine Aquarium here where they do dolphin rescues and foster our sea turtles by protecting their nests - Did you know that we have a real problem because when sea turtles hatch on the beach they go towards the light - before development of our beaches they would follow the moonlight back out to sea - now they are attracted to the street lights and that causes them to get run over, etc. so we have teams of people that also volunteer to help them make it back into the sea.

You can even be a marine biologist for a day, dolphin trainer, etc. If you guys ever make it to my neck of the beach - I'd love to show you around.

Hope you had a great day with your Mom - in case you couldn't tell we all are crazy about her too. You inspired a lot of people to give it a try. Have a great weekend.

Hi TO.. (tall one).. please don't make fun of uncle Nicky if you're taller than he is. pleeease. i promise to make sure they dont leave and the kids stranded 7 miles out in the ocean! ;)  you have some cool smilieys btw.  this is mine wearing crooked sunglasses %^)

now i must admit, that as a 14 year blogger, you put Nick to shame. i'm much older and i don't get 44 or more comments on my blog. i'll pay you a dollar per blog to write my stuff!! come on!!! ok, ill throw in some chocolate when you come to Miami and also promise to get some video of your mom bouncing off the water somewhere.. we'll drag her from the back of the boat in a tube. i love tubing.. its really fun. then again, i can bring the jet ski along if we stay close to shore. :))

ps. you've never seen the ocean? wow.. i need to talk to mom about that. btw, dolphins are cool. i loved that picture. you know that dolphins are one of the few mammals (aside from humans and apes) that are self-conscious. if you like to read, check it out here..

and the rest of you grown ups... did you know that.

pss. can i be an uncle even if i'm like a big kid? and no short jokes please.. !! haha!! :))

see ya later TO.  i'm audi5000

psss. Ines' kids are really cool. we even have a look after the little one. we call it 'The Rock look'

Tall one is back!

Caroline: Maybe Mom will give me some candy if I keep up the good work, maybe.

Ann: Friends hanging out with my parents?  I'm really sorry about your mom though.... T.T

Debbie: Alaska?  Never thought of that!  I'll go sometime.

Cyndee: I would really like to go to the beach one day!  I've heard that some sea turtles go towards cities...  They help fix that though, right?

Chris: I might like being an assistant, as long as I don't have desk duty!

Laura: No, I like the comments!

Julie: I get help blogging from my mom, she helps a lot actually.

Uncle Nicky: I'm not that tall! I like your smilie!  This is mine just wearing straight sunglasses (not as cool as crooked) B)  I wanna see Mom bouncing on the waves!! lol  You can be an uncle!  Adults who are like big kids are cool!  But, what's "The Rock look" mean?

Hey TO, i have not seen that sun glasses one before!.. haha.. that is cute. this is my straight sunglass dude 8)  and this is my 4-eyes guy ::)  haha ;)   btw, i'm more like a heavy and hariy kid, rather than a big kid! :)

i'll have find a little piece of video and post it here if Ines doesn't mind. but basically its when you're looking at someone out of the corner of your eye, and then you look away but you're still looking with your peripheral vision.. then you bring your eyes back for a quick look and then look away. its very cute. i use it when i say something to my wife and then look away and check back real quick to how she is reacting. 'The Rock' look is a winner!! %^)

when are you going to do another post? like a smiley post or something about your hobbies or school? i think all these grown ups would like that!

Tall One.

Uncle Nicky: I like your 4-eyed smiley! You guys have a lot of smilies I've never seen.  One of my favorites is the super-happy smiley: ^_^ And it whistles! ^.^  Ohhh, so that's "the Rock" look!  It would come in handy, I never really had a name for it.  A smiley post I could probably do, but my hobbies at school are just reading and hanging out.

(Note from Mom: Tall One had to catch her school bus, she wanted me to tell Ines she'll come back to comment to you later!)
