Service contracts are a great selling tool especially in a challenging market like we are in now.  When a buyer is shopping out properties, especially those in the lower price ranges, they definitely will lean toward a property that has a service contract in place knowing that they can enjoy peace of mind after they move in.

They are also not a bad idea to have for yourself especially the way they seem to be making appliances these days.  Years ago you bought a refrigerator or a dishwasher and you had it forever.  When you visited your mom with your kids hers was still running, the same appliance you grew up with.  Well things are certainly different today when washers and dryers last 5 years. Think about securing a service contract. Shop around and definitely read the fine print especially the language about air conditioning as not all companies cover the same things.
