Gena always great to show folks in your area the numbers but why not give a little analysis on what they mean? Just my 2 cents:)

Bill, good point. That is one of the reasons I include a chart for those you are more visual which should answer the question of say...decline in home sales as shown for November as compared to October 2008.

For more explanation the reader can always click on detail and read more information.

And of course bringing in the number of NOD's also should help the consumer realize that more foreclosures are on the horizon. Or at least, that's my aim.

Thank you for your input.

Sharon, thank you. For those more visually inclined, I think a chart helps put things into perspective.

Hi Gena,

Good info for follks in the Sacramento area. I completely agree with your comment about fewer reo's, but more on the horizion in the near future. Not sure, but I think Fannie-Freddie's decision to put either a 60-90 freeze on foreclosures could be part of it. Or maybe some lenders just didn't want any more on the books in 2008, who know for sure. However I do think by the end of the first quarter we will be seeing a lot more.

And with interest rates being so unbelieveable right now I think it's going to be an amazing time for buyers.

Lynda, I agree. I think the likelihood of the banks just not wanting more on the books and driving up the prices is more realistic.

2009 will be a fantastic year for the home buyers with interest rates at an all time low and many more foreclosures to hit the real estate market.

Gena Nicely presented report.  I like the way you gave the monthly numbers for the year so that the consumers could really see the status of the market at different times.

Jennifer, thank you. Being a visual person, myself I find them easily understood more so than the written word. Thanks for commenting.

Bradley, I didn't realize that you use to live here.  Glad to hear you are keeping up with our real estate.  Happy holidays to you, too and here's hoping that 2009 brings a hopeful change in our economy!
