Snow In Camarillo, California

Camarillo Christmas Truck brings snow to CamarilloAt about 9:30pm last Thursday night my husband left the city of Camarillo (elevation; 165 above see level) for a Christmas adventure due north. The Camarillo Christmas Truck drove for 2 hours to Pine Mountain Summit (elevation; 5160 feet above see level) and was back in Camarillo with a bed full of snow by 2:00am.

Friday morning our children and their friends woke up to a white (almost) winter wonderland.

The joy and laughter was priceless.
The snow fights ended without injury, but a life long memory was etched in everyone's mind and hearts.

I am married to one of the best fathers alive and thank God everyday for the blessings we enjoy, even if it is a truck full of snow.

Mana--That is one very cool dad! We have lots more snow up here but it is way too cold to play in. You sure know how to make Christmas memories! Have a wonderful holiday my friend!

Thesa, LOL. We are having a very cold Christmas (cold for us) but no snow yet.

Ashley, He is an awesome Dad and a kid at heart.

Lynda, He can not make a move without my spies repeating his movements to me.

Teri, I lived in snow and know what you are talking about.  For our southern California children snow is a mysterious powder that only the lucky kids get to play in.

Hey Mana..... That truck is working OT this year... Guess your husband got into the Christmas Cookies before coming up with that idea!

That looks like a complete blast! Every once in a while someone will head up north and bring back truckloads to the local park... it's as close as many of these kids will get to experiencing the real thing while in their Arizona youth.

This is great, Mana.  I'm sure they were all happy as can be to see that snow... and that it melted soon thereafter. :)

Well I have a lot of snow in my yard that you are welcome to.  Kidding, it is really cool the areas of California that saw snow for the first time in a really long time.  Have a great day.

What a great dad.  It really looks like the kids are enjoying themselves.  Of course, I know they have a great mom too.
