There are several blogs today about creating a written business plan. I've been harping on this for months in my blogs and I'm happy to see others joining the chorus. If enough of us make this suggestion to you, perhaps the message will come through loud and clear.
Sadly only a small percentage of real estate agents have a business plan.
Many believe they don't require a written plan of action....but the simple answer is YOU DO.. Any responsible coach or consultant will give you the same advice. To succeed in business, this is your first step.
Here is a government website that will give you guidelines and pointers on setting out your business plan. (Click here)
Writing a good business plan is not something you can accomplish in an hour. It takes time and real thought. It becomes your bible for daily business living.
As you write you'll create a clear understanding in your own mind of how you wish to proceed over the next several months. Just like a football or hockey team doesn't enter a big game without a plan.....neither should you. A business plan is something that can't be stored in your head, there are too many details.
Lets look at this from another direction. If you're a blog writer you'll have a basic idea of what you want to write about, but it's only through writing your blog that a more complete picture of your ideas is formed. Writing your thoughts allows you to fill in the gray areas and add details through deeper thought.
For many readers it's a snowy day... A good day to use your time wisely. I encourage you to leave your blog reading for another day and use this valuable time to set out a new business direction for yourself on paper....or in your computer for later printing. Put some real thought into it as it will influence your direction and enhance your success..
