9 Ways to Improve Business in 2009 - You Name # 10

Christmas collageWe have been busy since September - first getting ready for our yearly Client Appreciation Halloween Party, then Thanksgiving!  The Christmas rush was right behind - practically a 24-hour-a-day process for the past few weeks.

Today, we find ourselves in a strange situation:  The house is decorated; the Christmas cards are addressed and mailed; the packages will be delivered by the big day; presents are bought and wrapped.  And it's not time to start cooking!

Yes, we have continued working hard during this holiday rush!  We've even had some very positive things happen in our business.  Since we're not rushing around doing last minute Christmas things, we came up with 9 things we can do now - ways to improve business in 2009.  What would you include as # 10?  We'd like your ideas!

1.      Take time to thank all 2008 clients for putting their trust in us to help them with their real estate needs.  Also, take time to thank those REALTORS® who sent referrals our way.

2.      Work on those goals for 2009:  Revise, renew, and be reasonable!  But don't be afraid to dream!

3.      Identify areas in which we would like to improve so we can plan the real estate educational courses we will take in 2009.

4.      Get involved in the REALTOR® Associations.  There's a committee somewhere that needs us!

5.      Get involved in our community in new ways.  That's the best strategy for getting new clients - better than web sites or business cards with posed pictures!

6.      Evaluate our advertising strategies - what has worked and what has not worked.  Look for fresh new advertising ideas and plan how to implement them.

7.      Read a motivational book.

8.      Hit the personal ‘Delete' button when we have a negative thought about the economic outlook.

9.      Clean out that ‘Inbox' and start the year with no old emails to file!

10.

10) I am at work to remargin my business...both to look at income and more importantly to evaluate my expenses.

Good idea - Agreed!  Our biggest expenses have to do with technology and advertising.  We're looking carefully at those expenses,  Thanks for your comment!
