PORT ARANSAS, Texas - Despite a slowdown in the U.S. economy, 2008 sales in Cinnamon Shore were very impressive.  Families from Texas and beyond are enjoying the many benefits of vacation home ownership in Port Aransas.  Cinnamon Shore is a master planned "New Urbanism" beachfront community on Mustang Island.

2008 saw many of the Phase I amenities completed.  The first golf cart accessible dune crossover is now open as well as the Lake Colby fishing pavilion and boardwalk.  The Keira pool and pool house are currently under construction and scheduled to open by Spring Break.  Summer 2009 will see Phase II amenities such as the Hummingbird Park, Butterfly Park, the Grand Boulevard and construction of the first Town Center Condo building.  But the biggest news of all is coming January 2009.  Stay Tuned...

Thank you for inviting me to join the group. The coastal bend has so much to offer - Cinnamon Shores being one of the charms along the Texas Coast.  Port Aransas has so much to offer - We enjoy taking the ferry to Port A. and strolling along beach - dinner at the Venitian Plate is a must!  Don't fret - there are many other great restaurants in Port Aransas - we have lived in Rockport almost 5 years now and are still working our way to make sure to eat at all- We have yet to find a restaurant we did not enjoy!  The high today will be 77 degrees in Rockport!  It's paradise on the coastal bend.

MJ Thanks for joining our new Texas Gulf Coast group.  Rockport is a great town and I know there is a lot going on with new developments up your way.  I hope you enjoyed the 77 degrees yesterday.  It is getting cold again for a few days before a Christmas warm up.

Deb Welcome...Welcome.  I can only imagine what you and everyone in Galveston has been going through since Ike came ashore.  I hope all is well and I look forward to hearing about the recovery of the community and the state of the real estate market.

Keith - Port A is really a fun place to visit and live. We use to cross over on the ferry and park the RV at a really nice RV spot (don't rememer the name) I heard it sold and development condo type was going to be built on that property. We haven't been over for a few years and will plan a trip this summer. We mostly go to Rockport now since my son has a place at Holiday Beach and Ceil's brother lives at Lamar. Ceil's son is selling his place at Holiday Beach, only used it three times last year and the kids are busy with other things. Will probably park the RV at the Lagoon's in Rockport.
