There is more good news for our area.  Officials for the city of Seguin have announced plans by Caterpillar to build a huge engine manufacturing plant on 180 acres located at Interstate 10 and Texas 46.  The million square foot plant will employ more than 1,400 people with an average wage of $21 per hour.  The plant  should be in full operation by 2011.  Seguin is approximately 33 miles east of the San Antonio city center and has a population of less than 30,000.

Hi, Shirley! I'm glad that Seguin will be getting more jobs. We lived in a house on Camp Street when I was a baby, and I still love that town.
