Sweet Cookies with Sweet Friends

This has now become an Annual Tradition...my sister-in-law puts together this fabulous Cookie Exchange party and the girls go crazy (including myself). After-all, what's a Christmas party without cookies right!

This year I went for the Gingerman Cookies! And I have to say they turned out pretty darn good. Each year, the ladies show up with their 2-3 dozen cookies and an empty tray for their exchange...we have some social time, talk about our recipes and whatever makes them unique then we munch on! Oh, well...diet begins January 1st!

Hosting Your Own Cookie Exchange Party

1.  Mail out invitations by first the week of December.

2.  Keep the group small, anywhere from 8-12 ladies.

3.  Provide refreshments and a variety of appetizers (no big meals).

4.  Set up the display table with candles and fun Christmas decor.

5. Have soft music playing in the background.

6. Ask each lady to bring enough copies of their recipe.

7. After some social time, give everyone a chance to share their recipe, describing why they picked this particular recipe and any interesting tips.

8. (Optional)...as the Host you can give out small awards to the most "creative", "challenging", etc.

10. To ensure everyone gets their fair share, have the ladies go around the display table a couple to times until all the cookies are gone.

Have fun, be creative and enjoy!
