When you live in sunny Florida, you frequently have both friends and family who come to stay with you. I lived in Ft. Myers, a beautiful small city in southwest Florida with some great stretches of unspoiled , sandy white beaches. Another plus of living in Ft. Myers was the approximate two hour drive to Orlando.

Orlando is one of the top destinations for family vacations. You have the mouse and his magical kingdom, Universal Studios, and Sea World. In addition to these well know attractions, Orland has an entire strip of shopping, water parks, restaurants, and other fun diversions. If you are anything like most of my visitors, especially those with kids, you have to visit Disney because its Disney and Sea World for all the animals. As you may be aware Disney is actually four separate parks that could each easily take a day to see. In addition to the time it takes to see all that Disney has to offer, the individual tickets and even their park hopper tickets can become quite expensive. On the other hand, Sea World is only one park, though it definitely takes a day to see everything. From the wonderful animal shows, including the world famous Shamu, to the thrilling Journey to Atlantis water-coaster, there is something for everyone. And when you live in Florida there is always the opportunity to get discount sea world tickets, and we all love a discount! Now that I no longer live in Florida, I will soon be taking advantage of the hospitality of the friends I made there, as soon as the winter has become too much.

Well said.  I still live in Florida, but funny enough, have taken the girls to Disney about 5 times in 4 years.  We lived in San Diego before and enjoyed the California Sea World, but they were quite small then. I really need to take them next year. I will make it one of my new year's resolutions.

Thank you!

Elayna, 6 years of living there and we only visited a few times a year.

Mara, it would be worth the drive.

Patricia, it is a great park to see.
